The historic De Star Hofje, named for Jan van Brienen in the late 18th century, was originally home to the Star Brewery, one of 13 breweries in the area. It has since been transformed into an almshouse for seniors and has been owned by a housing association since 1995. Hours at the charming courtyard may vary.
