Description

A museum for cat lovers founded 1990 by William Meijer

The Cat Cabinet or Kattenkabinet museum is a tribute to a cat named Tom. A wealthy Dutchman, Meijer, created this museum to preserve the memory of his feline friend. All manner of paintings, photographs, posters, sculptures, and books about cats are on display. The artwork is all quite remarkable.

The museum is housed on the lower two floors of an old patrician home. The owner lives upstairs, and guests may cross paths with him as he comes and goes. Cat lovers will adore visiting The Cat Cabinet where five gorgeous felines live right on the premises.
