Description

At the 18th-century wharf on the outer side of the dyke, traditional boat repair is still practiced. This is a "working" museum, with an eastern hall devoted to shipbuilding and the indestructible marine engines designed and built here. If you're intrigued by the sight of the first 12HP petrol engine from 1904, you won't want to miss out. While signage is primarily in Dutch, helpful staff are always on hand to assist with any queries.
