Description

Visitors to the Joods Historisch Museum (Jewish Historical Museum) can explore the vibrant culture and heritage of the Dutch Jewish community. This complex of four Ashkenazic synagogues, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, has been exquisitely restored and houses interactive exhibits that chronicle the history of Jews in the Netherlands, including their significant contributions to the nation's economy. An audio guide and children's museum with engaging activities are also offered with admission. The ticket additionally grants access to the other sites of the Joods Cultureel Kwartier (Jewish Cultural Quarter), such as the Portuguese-Israelite Synagogue and the Hollandsche Schouwburg.
