Dating back to the early 14th century, the former convent of Gedempte Begijnensloot offers a tranquil and picturesque atmosphere, featuring quaint cottages and small gardens surrounding an immaculately kept courtyard. Inside the hof (courtyard) lies the Begijnhof Kapel, built in 1671, as well as the 1392-constructed Engelse Kerk.
